Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our chunks. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide the kibble with a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetable

To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, so that the dog gets all the essential, natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the health of the dog.

Spices

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, has its origins back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Alpine dasbrak specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Alpine badger beagle. We have also conducted research into the properties of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Alpine badger dog belongs. From these studies, in consultation with a leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Alpine badger beagle.

Thyme

Thyme is a genus from the Lamiaceae family. It includes herbaceous or woody plants with a very aromatic smell. Thyme was used by the Greeks and Romans as a medicinal herb against lung diseases, rheumatism, paralysis, stomach cramps, tumors, headaches, colic and nervous weaknesses.

The medicinal properties of thyme are confirmed by the high levels of vitamin K it contains. In addition, thyme also contains a lot of iron, but also the minerals calcium and manganese. It also contains the amino acid tryptophan and a significant amount of fiber.

Thyme has an anti-inflammatory effect and has a powerful antibacterial and antifungal effect. In addition, it stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system. Thyme is rich in antioxidants and effectively fights free radicals.

At Yourdog we add thyme to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints related to rheumatism, paralysis, stomach and nerves. Thyme is also a natural bacteria fighter.

Glucosamine

Glucosamine is a substance found in the body that is found in joints, cartilage, joint fluid and tendons. Glucosamine stimulates the production of cartilage and keeping joints flexible.

Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case with older dogs or (too) heavy dogs, but also increasingly with younger, very active dogs. For example, due to a hereditary predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the apples, which are widely known in the Northern Hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fiber has a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and flexible. Dietary fiber also increases the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that contributes to supporting healthy intestinal flora. It also contributes to the tastiness of the chunks and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the young years.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our varieties of Alpenlands dasbrak dog food, you can use the following guidelines. If your Alpenland badger is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For an Alpenland badger dog older than 7 years old, we recommend the Yourdog Alpenland badger dog senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years old, you can choose the Adult variant.

Palatability guarantee

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That is why we provide a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Alpine Badger does not seem to like his Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We help you analyze the problems. If we cannot reach an agreement together, we will refund the purchase price.

Nutritional advice

Body weight (kg) Daily amount (g)
10 - 20 190 - 315
20 - 40 315 - 525
40 - 60 525 - 750

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog has now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then feed 100% Yourdog Alpenland badger dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as best as possible.
