Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our chunks. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Australian silky terrier specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Australian Silky Terrier. We have also conducted research into the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Australian silky terrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with a leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Australian silky terrier.

Fennel

Fennel is a plant from the umbellifer family and can be recognized by its aniseed flavor. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamins A and C and the minerals iron and potassium.

We can add fennel to dog food because it can support digestion and prevent bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive influence on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.

Fenugreek

Just like the pea, fenugreek is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called fenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originates from Mesopotamia and was already known in ancient times in the Mediterranean region. Today, fenugreek is also grown in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Australian silky terrier dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Australian Silky Terrier is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For an Australian silky terrier older than 7 years old, we recommend the Yourdog Australian silky terrier senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years old, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Australian Silky Terrier does not seem to like his Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We help you analyze the problems. Nutritional advice

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog has now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog Australian Silky Terrier dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as best as possible.
