Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our chunks. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide the kibble with a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetable

To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Spices

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, has its origins back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Clumber spaniel specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Clumber Spaniel. We have also conducted research into the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Clumber spaniel belongs. From these studies, in consultation with a leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Clumber Spaniel.

Chondroitin

Chondroitin occurs naturally in the dog's body and is one of the most important components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin is able to attract and retain moisture, which should provide a spongy suspension in the cartilage.

Chondroitin improves the flexibility of the cartilage and also has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, it also stimulates the production of the building blocks that serve for healthy cartilage.

If chondroitin is given in combination with glucosamine, it supports and strengthens the effect of glucosamine. It is therefore often given as a nutritional supplement for people and animals suffering from osteoarthritis.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the apples, which are widely known in the Northern Hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fiber has a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and flexible. Dietary fiber also increases the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that contributes to supporting healthy intestinal flora. It also contributes to the tastiness of the chunks and apples are low in calories.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not fall below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that the banana may have been cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word Œbanaana from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals. Including vitamins A, C and B11 (folic acid) and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen resistance. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a properly functioning nervous system. Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Clumber Spaniel dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Clumber Spaniel is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Clumber spaniel older than 7 years we recommend the Yourdog Clumber spaniel senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years old, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Clumber Spaniel does not seem to like his Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We help you analyze the problems. If we cannot reach an agreement together, we will refund the purchase price.

Nutritional advice

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog has now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog Clumber Spaniel dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as best as possible.
